Before you will be allowed to progress with treatment using rTMS, we will need to assess you to make sure the treatment is your best option. An initial consultation with Dr. Sarkhel is necessary even though you have have experienced rTMS in the past. You will need a Psychiatric Assessment before you will be able to start treatment. You can have this done independently from Living Mind and bring it with you or Dr. Sarkhel can conduct this for you at the cost of £425. A typical treatment protocol for Depression will include treatment 5 days per week for 2-6 weeks, most patients feeling a difference after 3-4 weeks. This treatment protocol can differ from person to person depending on the severity of the condition. We prefer it if you pay in advance for your treatment but we do offer a flexible payment plan for those who cannot pay up front. Speak to us to find out more.

Before starting treatment, you will not need a Psychiatric Assessment, but you must or chronic pain you will need to provide us with an established diagnosis from your GP or a specialist as proof of your condition and how it affects you.

► How many sessions will I need?
Treatment protocols will also vary depending on the condition being treated and how you respond. You can expect to need around 20-30 sessions of treatment for Major Depressive Disorder, sometimes more of less depending on the individual case. For chronic pain, you can expect to receive 1-2 treatment per week for up to 3 weeks. We do not take a ‘one size fits’ all approach to administering rTMS, we will carefully and methodically work with you in mind in order to gain the best results, please contact us about your specific condition for more details on how many sessions you will need, this is a guide only.
► How can I pay?
Our preferred method of payment is via BACS or bank transfer. You can also pay via cash or by card machine in person.
► Is there a cancellation fee?
Please note that there is a late cancellation / non-attendance fee of £50 (we need at least 72 hours of notice for cancellation to avoid this charge). If you cancel on the date of your appointment, the cancellation charges will be £100.
► Can I have treatment for multiple conditions? What is the cost?
Absolutely. Your first round of treatment will cost between £130 to £200 per session.
