Consultant physician (Obesity, Diabetes & Endocrinology)

Dr C. Rajeswaran (Raj) is a consultant Physician specialising in obesity, diabetes and endocrinology.

He works in several hospitals in the UK, including the reputed ‘The London Obesity Clinic’ at Harley Street, London. He also works at Nuffield hospital, Leeds; Claremont Hospital, Sheffield and is also works in Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust.

He has vast experience in management of complex diabetes, endocrine disorders and obesity. He has worked for more than 20 years in the NHS. He is also the director for simplyweight Ltd, which a global specialist weight management organisation.

He has a number of publications and presentations to his credit. He is also involved in obesity related research and has supervised PhD students. He is a national and international speaker. He regularly delivers teaching sessions for General practitioners in the UK and GP registrars in Yorkshire deanery. He also delivers diabetes and obesity lectures for Consultant Psychiatrist through the Andrew Sims centre.

He has authored books and book chapters related to obesity. He founded and chairs the National Diabesity Forum in 2008. National Diabesity Forum provides a network for health care professionals involved in the management of Diabesity.

Raj is involved in both local and international charity work, predominantly to help people with weight problem and those who go hungry. “Biggest Help” is the charity arm of Simplyweight which helps people with hunger.
